BHV-basisopleiding (Engelstalig)
Under the Working Conditions Act, every employer with staff is required to appoint at least one emergency response officer. “BHV” stands for “bedrijfshulpverlening” (company emergency response), meaning that there must always be someone present in the workplace who is able to extinguish small fires, provide first aid, and coordinate an evacuation. The RI&E determines how many emergency response officers your organization requires.
During the basic emergency response training, participants learn through hands-on practice how to handle:
– Effective communication and evacuation procedures
– First aid, CPR, and AED use
– Fire extinguishing in professionally equipped training facilities using water, foam, and dry powder extinguishers
